Banxware today announced the appointment of former Klarna Group Lead for Decision Infrastructure Diogo Simões as the new Chief Technology Officer.
Diogo brings leadership experience, unique technological expertise, and deep knowledge of fintech products to his new role.
Simões joins from Klarna Bank AB, the European fintech that is today a global BNPL player. At Klarna, he oversaw the engineering of essential real-time risk management tools and developed products and software that significantly impacted its global operations.
The new CTO, a relentless advocate of cloud and serverless technology, is a firm believer in Banxware's unique embedded approach, underscored by the white label merchant cash advance product. This model is closely linked to the ability to seamlessly onboard banking and merchant platforms alike.
"I am adamant in enhancing the Banxware platform with the capacity to quickly onboard new partnerships. At this point, we need this capacity to expand rapidly and address new verticals. This will empower us with greater resilience and open the path to ramjet speed", said Simões in laying out his roadmap for success.
Banxware recently raised 4 million euros in seed funding through London-based Force over Mass and Berlin's VR Ventures. Both VCs are recognized specialists in their field of successful fintech investments.
Diogo will lead a team of more than a dozen members of Banxware's initial tech dev team, with the plan to hire more employees in the coming months.
Jens Roehrborn, CEO & Founder of Banxware: "I'm very happy to welcome Diogo to our leadership team. He brings exactly the kind of expertise to build the most scalable and fast fintech platform. On top, he brings deep knowledge in decision infrastructure, one of Banxware's engine's core elements. Diogo also possesses great proven leadership skills to build and lead innovative tech teams."
