The solution will be made available to more than 4,800 Raymond James financial advisors serving 1.2 million accounts in 2,200 locations.

John Catalano, manager of financial planning software at Raymond James, said, "SunGard's PlanningStation offers a good balance among the three key areas for financial advisors: ease of use, sophistication of the applications, and quality of output for clients. Raymond James' selection of PlanningStation is another example of the firm's commitment to providing the highest level of service possible to its financial advisors and clients."

Raymond James will offer its financial advisors SunGard's Foundation, Planning and Advisor Series modules designed to help advisors meet a variety of specific single-issue client financial planning needs, as well as its Comprehensive Planning module and Multi-Issue Reporting. SunGard's Foundation Series helps financial advisors to produce basic financial snapshots in 10 minutes or less, while the Planning Series offers more robust analysis and presentations designed to educate and motivate clients, and the Advisor Series provides the most sophisticated of the single-issue planning modules. The Comprehensive Planning module offers a holistic view of the client's financial situation, and Multi-Issue Reporting helps the advisor to combine information from any of the single-issue modules into one report complete with an executive summary.

Raymond James will also implement SunGard's AllocationMaster, an integrated component for asset allocation and portfolio optimization. AllocationMaster will provide Raymond James with asset allocation, analytics and modeling capabilities. In addition, PlanningStation will integrate with Raymond James' back-office system to help minimize the amount of time financial advisors spend on manual data entry.

"We are pleased that Raymond James Financial has chosen SunGard for its company-wide financial planning solution," said Blaine Maxfield, president of SunGard's PlanningStation and WealthStation business. "SunGard helps to provide the flexibility and ease of use for financial services companies like Raymond James to tailor a system to the particular needs of their financial advisors in order to help better serve their clients."

SunGard provides an integrated suite of services to help advisors meet the financial needs of their clients, and capitalize on growing opportunities in wealth management. SunGard helps organizations to deliver on the promise of a more holistic and consultative client experience by providing an array of capabilities for client profiling and financial planning, asset allocation and portfolio management, securities processing and asset accounting, and consolidated client reporting and performance measurement.
