Leslie joins Freetrade from challenger bank Monzo, where he was Director of Product. Prior to that, Leslie spent over 15 years in senior product roles at stockbroker Hargreaves Landsdown.

“We are delighted that Duncan is joining us,” said Freetrade Founder and CEO Adam Dodds. “He brings a wealth of experience with him that will prove extremely useful as we strive to get everyone to invest.

“In the past twelve months, we’ve built an investment platform, raised $15m in Series A funding and onboarded over 80,000 customers. We’ll be adding fractional shares, thousands of new stocks, expanding to Europe and much more. Duncan will be at the heart of these initiatives.”

“I’m thrilled to be taking up the VP Product role at Freetrade,” said Leslie. “Like Freetrade, I believe investing should be accessible to everybody, however, the barrier to entry is simply too high for many, which leads to poorer outcomes for the average person.

“I'm excited by Freetrade's ambitious mission, and the quality of their service is evidenced by the rapid growth to date. I look forward to working with the team and harnessing my past experience in the retail investment market."
