The company develops PCI-compliant patented technology, including a secure payments platform as well as turnkey and customizable payment apps, that enable merchants to accept debit and credit payments by tapping contactless cards onto NFC-enabled devices - without the need for dongles, cables or additional hardware.

After passing rigorous certification and security processes, Mobeewave has successfully launched solutions across North America, Europe and Australia, enabling financial institutions and payment facilitators, as well as SaaS businesses, independent services vendors (ISVs) and marketplaces to deploy mobile contactless card acceptance services to merchants.

Benjamin du Haÿs, Mobeewave’s co-Founder, explained: “The market for NFC-enabled mPOS contactless payments is on the cusp of significant growth and we’re now poised to spearhead it worldwide with a standardized, patented and scalable payment acceptance solution.”

He noted that there is a variety of misinformation circulating in the industry regarding the certification, security, processes and standards available for this type of payment acceptance solution.

“We’ve been working in this field for nearly a decade, so we’ve seen it all, tested countless prototypes and built-up relationships with all the key experts in this field. On our end, we are proud to confirm that our PCI-compliant payment processing platform, our SDK and our apps are the only secure mobile-based solutions in the market that are approved by VISA, Mastercard and Interac within their pilot frameworks.”

He added: “With NFC-enabled consumer devices now available, and contactless payment adoption ever-increasing, we’re excited to participate in the opening of the market by supporting the networks, major stakeholders and other organizations to professionalize this new type of payment standard, and provide merchants around the world with a simplified, low-cost and easily accessible way to accept card payments.”
