Venmo will be offered as a seamless payment option to complete in-car transactions.

Integrating Venmo into Cargo makes the platform even more friendly to a generation of consumers that are increasingly going cashless and rely on rideshare services as a primary means of transportation. They will now be able to pay with their Venmo balance, linked bank account, credit card or debit card.

In addition to offering a simple payment solution, passengers can also choose to share the satisfying and sometimes surprising products that they purchase through Cargo on their Venmo feed, such as a healthy RXBAR, a refreshing Smart Water, or even a trendy Winky Lux Matcha Lip Balm.

“Cargo’s top priorities are to help drivers earn more, give riders their time back, and improve in-car comfort. Adding Venmo as a payment option allows us to keep current with consumer preferences and offer them the same seamless payment experience riders’ favorite retailers provide” says Jeff Cripe, Cargo Founder and CEO.

To order, passengers visit Cargo’s mobile menu (www.cargo.menu) directly on their smartphones, enter their driver’s box code, select their desired items and, to use Venmo as a payment option, choose Venmo at the checkout page. Once the vehicle is safely stopped, the driver gives the passengers the products from the Cargo display box.

Venmo is available as a payment option through Cargo in New York City, Chicago, Boston,Dallas, D.C., Baltimore, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
