Jun joins the firm as Managing Director for Asia where he will be responsible for overseeing the next phase of growth for the firm’s business operations in the region.

Jun brings over a decade of industry experience to Options from Credit Suisse, where he advised Prime Brokerage and Private Wealth clients on the expansion of institutional-grade infrastructure and asset management. At RBS he oversaw the development of the firm’s technology, legal, compliance, HR and trading operations. Previous to that, while at Merrill Lynch, Jun facilitated a range of business development initiatives, including the opening of the firm’s regional offices in Istanbul and Moscow.

As the latest addition to Options’ executive team, Jun will be responsible for the firm’s Asia-Pacific business operations, delivery of critical operations support for Options’ global engineering teams and overall regional growth across Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Jun’s appointment follows news of the firm’s continued colocation expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, with the next phase of dedicated colocation expansion in Sydney currently in production.

Chief Executive Officer and founder, Nigel Kneafsey, commented, “Jun joins Options with a wealth of industry and operational experience that spans numerous financial institutions across Europe and Asia. His knowledge and expertise will be instrumental as we evolve and expand our business operations in the region. We are delighted to welcome him to the executive team and look forward to the next phase of growth for the firm in Asia.”

Speaking about the appointment, Jun added, “Options has been on a mission to provide institutional, sophisticated and secure managed services to the financial technology industry for decades. I look forward to joining such a dynamic team and continuing our growth trajectory by focusing on our client’s needs at both a regional and global level.”
