Under the partnership, Qlik’s advanced BI and analytics platform will be embedded in SimCorp’s Data Warehouse Manager, providing SimCorp clients with fast insights into their investment management operations, portfolio analytics and performance management.

SimCorp’s Data Warehouse Manager is a fully automated, central repository for reporting and analytics. The solution supports buy-side firms with a single source of truth, delivering clean and accurate data for simplified reporting. By consolidating internal and external sources of data, the solution provides firms with a holistic approach to data warehousing, eliminating the need for costly data consolidation tools. The introduction of BI and analytics is a natural extension of the service, empowering business users with insightful analytics that helps them make faster and better investment decisions.

While BI and analytics platforms have undergone a broad evolution over the last decade, navigating the vast number of vendors has become a challenge for many firms. Having already done this due diligence, SimCorp is simplifying the selection process for its clients, by offering Qlik’s platform, embedded as a deployed service, together with SimCorp Dimension and its Data Warehouse. SimCorp will also be the single point of contact for clients for services and support, making vendor management that much simpler.

SimCorp’s new ‘BI and Analytics’ offering powered by Qlik, provides users with powerful insights, as they explore and learn from their enterprise data and includes access to the highly intuitive self-service portal powered by Qlik Sense Enterprise. The ‘Associative engine’ sets Qlik apart from other BI solutions, enabling users to scour through a myriad of data and instantly pivot queries, based on data uncovered by SimCorp Dimension and its Data Warehouse. The partnership also gives SimCorp clients access to Qlik’s best in class advanced analytics platform, thereby benefiting from a strong consolidated investment platform with SimCorp Dimension.

Lars Ole Hansen, Product Manager for Performance measurement and BI at SimCorp, comments on the agreement: “With data being the foundation of buy side operations, it is vital that SimCorp responds to client needs as they evolve. We are pleased to partner with Qlik, as part of our commitment to deliver best in class analytics, combined with strong data governance. Qlik’s shared strategic vision, focus on product innovation, and ability to truly embed analytic capabilities via open API’s into enterprise solutions like SimCorp Dimension, were key in our decision. We are confident that the consolidation of BI and analytics with SimCorp’s integrated investment management system will prove invaluable for our clients.”

Rosagrazia Bombini, Area Vice President OEM EMEA at Qlik, comments: “SimCorp is a global leader within investment management solutions with a solid experience and understanding of a market, constantly reshaped by digital technologies. We are pleased SimCorp has chosen Qlik to meet the growing data & analytics needs of the financial services industry and to help their customers make better decisions, with a unique customer experience.”

SimCorp’s BI and Analytics offering will be available to clients as of October 2018, together with SimCorp’s Data Warehouse Manager.
