I2C names David Engel country manager, Australia and New Zealand

I2C, a global provider of smarter payments and integrated commerce solutions, today announced that it has appointed David Engel as country manager, Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, Mr. Engel is responsible for building on i2c’s growth in the region, helping financial institutions, brands, and program managers leverage i2c’s Agile Processing platform to build new, innovative payments solutions.
“i2c’s success in Australia and New Zealand comes from working closely with our customers to deliver the sophisticated solutions consumers in Australia and New Zealand want. David’s broad regional industry expertise will accelerate the momentum we have in market,” said Peg Johnson, EVP of Global Client Success at i2c.

Mr. Engel’s career has focused on innovation in the payments industry. Prior to joining i2c, he ran and advised Australian startups with a focus on Open Banking, card product innovations, and value-add acquiring solutions. Previously, Engel spent six years at GE Capital, where he created and launched payments products with some of Australia’s best-known retailers, including Coles, Harvey Norman, and Myer.
