Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that Badlands Federal Credit Union, based in Glendive, Montana, and Danville City Employees Federal Credit Union, based in Danville, Virginia, have selected integrated OnCU core account processing solution suites from Fiserv.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution suites will be customized for each credit union with digital capabilities that fuel an enhanced member experience.
“We want to have innovative technology in place to remain relevant and deliver impactful products and services in line with the evolving needs of our members,” said Shiloh Smeltzer, president/CEO of Badlands FCU. “Our partnership with Fiserv will create value for our members and staff, as we will be able to offer the capabilities our members expect through technology that is managed by dedicated experts at Fiserv.”
Badlands FCU was founded in 1941, and currently has more than $27 million in assets and approximately 3,000 members. As a growing credit union, Badlands FCU is outsourcing its key technology to reduce cost, mitigate risk and allow staff to focus on nurturing member relationships. Its OnCU solution suite includes Virtual Branch® for online banking, CheckFree® RXP® for electronic payments, Popmoney® for personal payments, WireXchange® for wire transfers, and solutions for item processing and member statements.
For Danville City Employees FCU, the partnership with Fiserv will help enable highly efficient processes driven by innovative digital solutions. The $25 million credit union, founded in 1948, currently has over 2,400 members, and is looking to advance growth through electronic services. Its OnCU solution suite includes Mobiliti™ for mobile banking, CardValet® for card management and fraud mitigation, Virtual Branch for online banking, CheckFree RXP for electronic payments, Popmoney for personal payments, and additional solutions for item processing, member statements and web-design.
“We take great pride in serving our city’s employees and their families, and as we continue to grow, our credit union is committed to providing them with the same services found at the country’s largest financial institutions,” said Lisa Tickle, manager of Danville City Employees FCU. “Fiserv will help us operate more efficiently as we modernize our member experience through a new core platform with enhanced digital and mobile solutions.”
The CardValet solution from Fiserv offered by Danville City Employees FCU allows members to actively manage their debit card usage by defining when, where and how their debit card is used. Members can turn off their card if it is lost, set spending limits and receive transaction alerts. Empowering members with capabilities they may expect to find only at the nation’s largest financial institutions is an example of how technology can help drive member satisfaction and retention.
“As an industry leader, we understand and embrace our responsibility to deliver innovative technology solutions to growing credit unions,” said Barb Lowman, SVP, account processing solutions, Credit Union Solutions, Fiserv. “Using OnCU and integrated digital technology from Fiserv, Badlands FCU and Danville City Employees FCU will be able to strengthen member engagement and enhance member satisfaction, which contributes to long-term growth and relevancy. We welcome both credit unions to our Fiserv family.”
