The Manchester FinTech is more doubling its footprint within the city having experienced significant growth since it set out three years ago. Hello Soda’s new central location, within Piccadilly Plaza’s City Tower, has more than twice the floor space of its former home in King Street and, on the 12th floor, boasts panoramic city views. The firm is also employing three new graduates as it aims to nurture future industry talent.

As a big data analytics firm, Hello Soda’s unique proposition revolves around PROFILE, its unstructured data analysis platform. This allows businesses to mine data for insights that can transform the way they work across lending and banking, insurance, retail, marketing and gaming. These pioneering insights allow organisations to efficiently and effectively verify identification, increase loan accepts through credit risk analysis, tackle fraud and to engage with consumers on a one-to-one level.

The move within Manchester cements Hello Soda’s commitment to the city and is testament to the Northern Powerhouse’s credentials in supporting FinTech growth outside of London.

James Blake, founder and CEO of Hello Soda, said: “There is a lot of talk about the need to be based in London to be a successful FinTech but our story alone demonstrates that this is not the case. We are passionate about the Northern Powerhouse and committed to being part of it as the region continues to grow in status and becomes a hub for business innovation. Hello Soda may have started small but we have already expanded internationally; we have an office in Bangkok and do business around the world all from our Manchester home.

“It’s safe to say that we are no longer a start up; with over 20 staff, doubling our office space and continuing to nurture future talent we are creating a platform to achieve so much more in the future. Looking forward, we have ambitious plans to expand more as a business, employ more dedicated and focused team members to advance our software capabilities and to further support our current and future customers.”
