Idea Bank, Poland’s most innovative bank supporting the country’s dynamic and vibrant entrepreneurial culture, has reported a major expansion of its fleet of mobile ATMs that allow thousands of business owners to safely deposit their daily revenues within minutes from end-day closing.
During the first year of operations, the fleet has expanded from 4 to 18 mobile ATMs operating now in Poland’s 12 largest cities, including the booming capital Warsaw. Idea Bank is going to provide customers with 30 machines by the end of this year.
Fitted in electric zero-emission cars, the mobile ATMs offer a safer alternative to traditional night-time cash deposits at local bank branch. Requested free-of-charge through a dedicated smartphone app, the car arrives in the chosen pick-up point within minutes, and allows the customers to deposit or withdraw any money they need.
According to the bank’s data, the average deposit through the mobile ATM is three times higher than at a bank branch, with the total amount of monthly deposits exceeding €630,000.
The mobile ATM fleet has been widely praised by the financial technology industry, winning numerous awards, including the Innovation in Payments recognition at the BAI-Finacle Global Banking Innovation gala, as well as attracting a number of foreign banks interested in acquiring the technology.
Idea Bank’s executive Dominik Fajbusiewicz commented:
“Our research showed that one in three Polish micro-entrepreneurs accept only cash payments, and almost four out of five deliver income to their bank in person. By providing them with a convenient and secure way of depositing money, we have made their day-end business closing much easier.
With the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) making up for 96% of all businesses operating in Poland, we want to help them fully unlock their potential by making the company’s day-to-day management as simple as possible.”
Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE:IDA), Idea Bank supports Poland’s dynamic entrepreneurial culture by offering its clients a 360-degree assistance on all stages of business development: from the registration of a new company with the authorities, to bookkeeping, and financial advisory in the first phases of growth.
The bank specialises in financial services for small-scale entrepreneurs and provides them with different tools that make it easier to run a business. The bank has come up with multiple innovations that were awarded and appreciated worldwide, such as the Mobile ATM, Idea Hub new branch model or Idea Cloud e-banking system that also serves as a small business management platform.
