ACI Worldwide appoints Fundamo founder Hannes van Rensburg, SVP, business development

ACI Worldwide (ACIW), a leading global provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, today announced the appointment of Hannes van Rensburg as senior vice president of business development.

With more than two decades of senior executive experience, van Rensburg, a mobile banking pioneer, founded Fundamo, a leading developer of mobile banking and payment solutions. Fundamo, which launched the first mobile banking solution in 1999 and processed billions of transactions annually in 34 countries for millions of account holders, was acquired by Visa in 2011. He continued at Visa as a senior vice president. Prior to Fundamo, van Rensburg served as CIO of the Sanlam Group, a major South African financial services company. He also previously served as a founding partner of Infomet, which was acquired by IBM in 1990.
