“The ability to verify physical documents is an important tool for validating the identity of unbanked, underbanked or international customers,” said Garrett Gafke, president and CEO, IdentityMind Global. “We are excited to partner with Mitek on providing this fully integrated service within the platform so our customers will have certainty their users are presenting genuine, unaltered ID documents for digital financial services.”

IdentityMind Global clients are now able to add a plugin to their mobile application or web service, allowing the end user to take a picture or upload a document file to be evaluated as part of their onboarding application. Once Mitek has verified the authenticity of a document, IdentityMind evaluates the information in the document and applies it for data validation and reputation analysis. The results then become an integral part of the identity’s eDNA™ (digital identity), which can be leveraged by all clients in the IdentityMind network.

“We use IdentityMind and document verification to prevent fraudulent users from onboarding onto our application, and comply with worldwide AML requirements.”
- Katie Sokalsky, CFO, BitGold

“Mitek’s Mobile Verify was selected by IdentityMind Global for our unmatched ability to read passports, driver’s licenses, and national IDs cards, from almost every country around the world,” said James B. DeBello, president and CEO, Mitek. “We are pleased to play a role in strengthening IdentityMind Global’s reach internationally, and to help their many clients spot users with stolen or forged documents, before it becomes an issue.”
