Payments UK, which was launched in June 2015, now has 40 full members and 27 associate members, representing a wide spectrum of payment service providers from across the industry. Since its launch, ten companies have signed up to join the new trade association, with more in the pipeline.

The changing payments landscape has led to an expansion of interest in Payments UK from businesses as diverse as software solutions suppliers and fintech providers to law firms and IT consultancies. Full membership provides organisations with a strong voice in the industry and the opportunity to shape the future of payments. The trade association is ideally placed to engage with the industry, regulators, government, customers, media, and others on UK, European and global payment issues.

Maurice Cleaves, Chief Executive of Payments UK, said:

“We are very pleased that ipagoo and Prepaid Financial Services (PFS) have chosen to join us. Payments UK is uniquely positioned to bring the industry and its stakeholders together, making the UK’s payment services better for customers and ensuring they remain world-class.”
