Handset and chipset manufacturers can now work with FIME to ensure that their devices, which support HCE proximity payments, are functionally compliant.

With FIME’s EMEA laboratory already accredited, its customers now have access to the largest international coverage available on the market. FIME’s Korean operation can now help regional and global manufacturers to validate the contactless capabilities of their products following analog and digital testing, in line with Visa’s requirements.

“With HCE projects in various stages of development and deployment globally, its incorporation into the functional testing process is essential to ensure global interoperability and consistent performance,” comments Jae-Yeob Jung, Country Manager, South Korea. “This accreditation is important for our work with large handset manufacturers in Korea and those based around the world. With the market evolving rapidly, we are already supporting much of the ecosystem with both Level 1 and Level 2 consultancy and testing services for HCE, tokenization and a range of other specifications, and we look forward to sharing further accreditation announcements in the coming months.”
