The biggest company of Polish online currency exchange sector has received a licence for provision of payment services, issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego, KNF).
In this way, the Operator of the websites in Poland and the Czech Republic has proven its commitment for strict safety requirements and has confirmed that it is a reliable partner on the financial markets.
The Polish licence, issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, permits the provision of payment services, i.e. payment account maintenance and execution of transactions from the account. The licence covers all European Union states.
“The licence is a confirmation that we are a trustworthy partner, that our systems and procedures are a security guarantee for our customers’ money”, Łukasz Olek, a member of Currency One SA Management Board says. “It is very important for us, also in the context of international development.”
The licence informs that the company is managed in a careful and reliable way, it is in good financial condition, and it has funds and mechanisms sufficient for handling customer’s money.
Currency One SA has about 40% of Polish currency exchange market on the Internet. Since their beginning, Walutomat and Internetowykantor.pl websites have traded EUR 7 billion. At present, 350 thousand individuals and companies use them to exchange money.
