Deutsche Börse made the announcement following a meeting of the Committee on Monday.

The proposal is the result of an intensive and orderly search among top management in Europe and the USA.

The Supervisory Board will decide on the appointment in its meeting on October 10.

Furthermore, the Personnel Committee of the Supervisory Board will propose the following candidates for the vacant positions on the Supervisory Board: Richard Berliand (Deputy Chairman Futures Industry Association, Washington D.C), Craig Heimark (Managing Director, Hawthorne Group, Palo Alto), Hermann-Josef Lamberti (Member of the Board of Managing Directors, Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt) and Dr. Erhard Schipporeit (Member of the Board of Management responsible for Finance, Accounting, Taxes and IT, EON AG, Düsseldorf). If nominated by the Supervisory Board, these candidates will be proposed for appointment by the relevant court.
