The opening of the Galway NOC will create 25 jobs and recruitment is already underway for a number of roles including Level 1, 2, and 3 network engineers, software developers, and projects managers. Perseus now offers global network management and customer support from Galway, in addition to its facilities in New York and Sao Paulo.

Perseus selected Galway for its NOC because of the central role it is playing in Ireland’s burgeoning technology industry. The NOC offers top-of-the-line facilities, expert engineering talent, 24 x 7 x 365 operations, multi-lingual and accredited best-in-class global customer support for the company’s rapidly growing global managed services business. The NOC will support customers that include banks, market makers, and exchanges, as well as e-commerce, telecommunications, multi-media and technology (TMT) firms. As part of the new Galway NOC, Perseus built a network linking Dublin, Blanchardstown, Galway and Cork, all interconnecting to the award-winning Perseus global managed network.

“We are extremely thankful to the Irish government for its support in this initiative, and the role that IDA Ireland has played in making this a trouble-free experience. We hope that this venture will encourage other businesses to take advantage of the pro-business culture in Ireland and also provide welcome employment to the local economy,” said Dr Jock Percy, CEO of Perseus.

“Galway represents a centre for innovation in Ireland and an important gateway for Europe,” says Chris Beddall, Perseus Ireland Country Manager. “The region has tremendous local engineering talent and multi-lingual resources, enabling us to offer NOC as a Service. This product can reduce operating expenses on average by 25% for our clients, allowing them to focus on growing their business whilst Perseus manages their networks.”

The NOC as a Service (NaaS) offered by Perseus provides customers with 24 x 7 x 365 network surveillance, performance monitoring, trouble ticket management, event management, vendor/SLA Management and guaranteed service levels (service assurance).
