A new portfolio map enables bankers to view leads, collateral, branches and relationships geographically on a map rather than in a traditional report format. This approach provides greater insights into various portfolio concentrations and is also available on a mobile device to help jump start a lead conversion or loan application in the field. For a chief credit officer, views into collateral concentration can be helpful to visualize volume in a geographic area, across the nation, state or at site-level. It works the same for portfolio concentration, whereby users can see which customers are nearest a particular branch, or those within certain proximity to branch A versus branch B. More than numbers, the portfolio map includes geocoding to help visualize the same drill-down information by zip code and radius. The tool answers questions, not just provides data, to help bankers understand concentrations and better plan field visits.

Additionally, nCino built upon the Bank Operating System’s existing workflow capabilities with better user experience components that further simplify commercial loan origination and mobile workflow overall. Its forms generation module now has an engine that easily accesses data across systems in the financial institution, expanding the scope of available templates within nCino to create forms instead of re-entering information each time.

Other updates to nCino’s Bank Operating System include, but are not limited to:
o Adding multiple covenants at once to a loan or relationship;
o Creating and managing “teams” within nCino that designate employees in the institution to SBA versus commercial loan origination, for example, to better communicate alerts and report on the status of any loan;
o Providing more complex statement analysis within credit memo spreads to run multiple statements for the same period but with different indications of type; and
o Building more complex fields across the Bank Operating System to allow for more defined borrower relationships, asset data and portfolio health.

nCino CEO Pierre Naudé said, “Our customers really drive the company’s innovations through their feedback of existing components of the technology and by making recommendations on what additional features are needed. They remain willing to pilot new functionality to ensure we can deliver enhancements to all customers more quickly. This iteration of the Bank Operating System further prepares our customers for tomorrow’s banking atmosphere: one that is informed, on-demand and mobile like never before.”
