This comes at the same time as Xchanging's acquisition of insurance software businesses, Total Objects Ltd and Agencyport Europe.

As the leader of the newly expanded insurance software business, Chris will oversee the integration of the recently acquired businesses with Xuber, with the goal of expanding Xuber's global presence and offerings in the property & casualty and health insurance markets. He will lead a team across the UK, US and Asia to achieve market leading growth over the next five years and beyond. The appointment is in line with the significant investment Xchanging continues to make in the planned development of Xuber's product offerings, as it establishes itself as a major player in the global insurance technology market.

Chris joins Xchanging on 1 August 2014 and will report directly to Andrew Binns, Executive Director, Xchanging Technology Services. Adrian Morgan, who has been the principal driver behind the creation of Xuber, will continue to be responsible for Strategy, Product and Development in the new business. Phil Race, the former Managing Director of Agencyport Europe will take on the role of Business Development Director and Andy Lovett, Agencyport Europe's former COO, will be responsible for the integration programme and client delivery. They will form a new senior team reporting to Chris.

Andrew Binns, Executive Director at Xchanging, commented: "Chris is a dynamic leader and has over 30 years of experience in the technology and software sales industry, successfully building and running £200M+ businesses. He will be supported by a strong team; Adrian Morgan, who is recognised as one of the best strategic design visionaries in the industry and by Phil Race and Andy Lovett who have successfully developed their business, Agencyport Europe, in the last three years."

"I have every confidence that this team will manage the successful integration of Total Objects and Agencyport Europe into our existinng business and continue to develop and execute the plan to make Xuber a leader in the global insurance software market. "

Chris Baker, Managing Director, Xuber, adds: "I'm thrilled to join the Xchanging insurance software business at such an exciting time and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. My initial focus will be to ensure the seamless integration of Xchanging's latest acquisitions and to create an enlarged technology offering which will solidify Xchanging's leading position in the global insurance technology market. I look forward to delivering creative and transformational value for Xchanging's customers."

Chris' business responsibilities include managing the operational and financial performance of the newly expanded insurance software business, overseeing product and market strategy, expanding and sustaining partner relationships, and driving a high performing sales team to maximise the potential of new sales opportunities, particularly in the key UK and US markets.

Prior to joining Xuber, Chris spent 17 years at Oracle and in that time has led a number of substantial software and services businesses for the Global IT provider. His most recent role was Senior Vice President and Global head of Oracle's ISV, OEM and Java business.
