The first half of the systems will be installed this year, with installation due to be completed by the middle of next year. The local bank group is a part of the second biggest banking group in France Caisses d´Epargne and expects the installation to yield a reduction in cash handling costs and process improvements.

During a three-month consulting project, Wincor Nixdorf had carried out a detailed analysis for Caisses d'Epargne Provence Alpes Corse of the cash processes in the branches and was able to demonstrate cost-cutting potential through the use of ATMs from the CINEO system family and cash recycling systems, and present options for optimizing cash logistics. This, in combination with the high level of reliability and processing speed of the systems, was decisive for winning the order.

CINEO ATMs and cash recycling systems offer users new options for cash handling. The core element is an innovative banknote storage concept. Intelligent, end-to-end cassettes enable cash to be exchanged directly between different cash points in the branch (automated teller machines, cash recycling systems and automated teller safes) and thus kept in the cash cycle.
Caisses d'Epargne is a universal bank and serves 26.5 million customers at its 4,228 branches throughout France.
