Based on its globally-proven UltraPoS software, the app is designed to allow theme park and mall owners, hospitality companies, retailers, event organisers, transportation and ticketing organisations to include prepaid items as part of their customer-facing mobile sales services.

Ray Stanton, Managing Director, SCL explains, "Mobile-POS is set to explode in 2013, with most physical outlets looking to implement consumer-style mobile devices into their operations - to queue bust, reduce walkaways and create more engaging sales interactions. Being able to sell prepaid cards and load value from anywhere in and around the store or venue creates a compelling, high revenue, service option that appeals to today's increasingly convenience orientated consumers."

Designed to maximise mobile's key benefits - cost effective, lightweight and easy to use hardware - SCL's Android App is enabled with an optional email receipt function, eliminating the need for a receipt printer. Easy to download and requiring minimal training, it allows businesses to migrate their prepaid sales straight to mobile without complex integration or additional capital costs.

The new app means that SCL's UltraPoS software can now be used as a single prepaid sales solution across all transaction terminals and types including PCs, ePOS terminals, kiosks, tablets and smartphones.
