Trad-X is Tradition's hybrid trading platform for OTC derivatives product for (European) Interest Rate Swaps (IRS).

Connectivity to Trad-X is provided direct from TMX Atrium's co-located facility in the Equinix LD4 data centre into the heart of the Trad-X matching engine. The reach of TMX Atrium's single international connectivity infrastructure ensures that executable data is disseminated in real-time to multiple brokers and is accessible by all community members in Central and Eastern Europe and into North America.

TMX Atrium's venue-neutral network delivers a simple yet flexible approach to customers looking to access multiple venues and markets in order to trade the full range of asset classes.

Emmanuel Carjat, Managing Director, TMX Atrium said, "The fixed income market is becoming increasingly electronic, which is creating renewed interest from participants looking for supplementary forms of electronic price discovery to complement their complex and varied trading strategies. Adding Trad-X highlights the growing range of asset classes available across the TMX Atrium community. These asset classes include cash equity and derivatives, FX and commodities, as well as fixed income and derivatives, all of which demonstrate that we are committed to providing choice to our growing financial services community."

Yann L'Huillier, Group CIO, Tradition continued, "Since the launch of Trad-X, we have continued to gain significant market share in the electronic trading growth of European IRS. Connectivity to TMX Atrium gives our individual client sets additional choice and unrivalled access to multiple brokers across a high-performance platform. We operate a similar venue-neutral structure to TMX Atrium to enable clients to benefit from flexible and significant trading advantages."
