Nymex and eSignal deliver streaming data service

(NYMEX), the immediate availability of a new service called NYMEX Direct.

NYMEX Direct offers streaming, real-time quotes directly from the NYMEX using eSignal's FutureSource Java application, FutureSource Xtra. The collaboration gives futures traders access to quotes from the largest physical commodity exchange in the world.

FutureSource Xtra supplies the commodities, financial futures and foreign exchange trading community with real-time market data, decision support systems and services covering a broad range of markets. FutureSource Xtra is an Internet, browser-based system designed to allow users maximum flexibility through customized modules that can be added or subtracted as a user sees fit. With this "container-based" design, FutureSource is able to provide users an efficient means for accessing real-time streaming market data, charting information and analytics in an environment specifically tailored to their individual needs. The complete FutureSource product line includes FutureSource Workstation, FutureSource Xtra, and FutureSource iFS.
FutureSource builds its offerings from several core features, including streaming real-time quotes from over 50 worldwide exchanges, real-time interactive tick charting, full options coverage and news feeds delivered immediately on demand. Other features include:
- Custom Workspaces - Users may manage up to ten workspaces, each allowing 15 separate windows components, aimed at tracking the performance of the contracts they trade the most.
- Custom Options Views - Users may view options either Side-by-Side, Stacked or in Greeks format.
- Export Data - Data can be exported in a comma-delimited format for use in applications such as Microsoft Excel.
- Dow Jones Energy News Updates and Weather Maps - information available for an additional charge.
