As of today, SIX Telekurs will be known as SIX Financial Information, as SIX Group streamlines its brand structure into the single brand SIX. The new corporate identity also applies to the website.
In 2008 SIX Group was positioned as a strong brand across the entire value chain with a wide financial services portfolio serving the Swiss market and the leading international financial centers. Today, four years later, the group's brands continue to evolve to the single brand SIX. As part of this process SIX Telekurs will be renamed SIX Financial Information and the website will appear in a new corporate identity look.
Thomas Gross, CEO SIX Financial Information, commented on the name change: "'SIX Financial Information' gives our business operations a name that is both informative and internationally compatible. SIX stands for quality, trust and innovation. By strengthening the SIX brand and leveraging the collective brand power of the entire company we expect to extend our leadership position in the financial information sector."
The single brand SIX is accompanied by the additional descriptors Swiss Exchange, Securities Services, Financial Information and Payment Services for the respective business areas. The reduction to one single brand and four business areas unifies and strengthens the brand and SIX's market presence as one company.
Separately, as of 23rd April 2012, all SIX Group Ltd business divisions will act under the single brand SIX. Consequently, all operating companies within the SIX Group Payment Transactions business area will be merged under the single name, SIX Payment Services. This will provide clarity to, and strengthen the market presence of SIX, and SIX Payment Services.
Within the scope of the rebranding in Switzerland, the three companies, SIX Multipay Ltd, SIX Card Solutions Ltd and SIX Multi Solutions Ltd, will be merged to form SIX Payment Services Ltd. The foreign companies within the payment transactions business area will also be renamed SIX Payment Services.
Under the new name, our core business will continue to be focused on the processing of integrated services in the field of card-based payments and electronic payment systems. With this merger SIX Payment Services is aligning itself more consistently as the leading provider of comprehensive payment transaction solutions and is further promoting growth in Switzerland and Europe.
