The service now provides global coverage of exchange listings, delistings, IPOs, identifier changes and shares outstanding. In addition, the service is now available via a Web Services application programmable interface (API) which can help financial institutions to obtain on-demand access to global corporate actions data and streamline integration of this data.

"As corporate actions grow in complexity, their ability to create risk is magnified, and this can cause challenges across the client enterprise -- from order management and pre-trade compliance all the way to settlement and clearing," said Robin Simpson, managing director, Reference Data for Interactive Data. "Our Corporate Actions Service provides timely corporate actions data to financial institutions when they need it and in the appropriate format to assist with trading operations and investment strategies, as well as effective management of risk. Our new Web Services API now enables financial institutions to readily obtain global corporate actions data on demand."
