Protegent Policy Manager promotes operational efficiencies by automating compliance communication, education and management processes. It is the newest addition to SunGard's Protegent suite of integrated global compliance solutions that offer greater visibility into potential regulatory, reputational and operational risks. Protegent Policy Manager is powered by Access Compliance from CFM Partners, a provider of knowledge-based governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions since 1995.

In today's highly regulated environment, financial firms are tasked with keeping pace with evolving regulatory requirements while meeting internal performance standards. Protegent Policy Manager helps financial services firms adhere to specific Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Rules by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing supervisory control policies. The solution provides firms with a single interface to administer, track and report on internal and regulatory compliance policies. Protegent Policy Manager features Web-based courses that help firms train and educate employees on policies and updates relevant to them.

Steve Sabin, chief operating officer of SunGard's Protegent business unit, said, "SunGard is committed to helping customers protect their businesses from losses and reputational damage due to compliance breaches. The addition of Protegent Policy Manager to our suite of compliance solutions will help customers build a thorough and proactive compliance program, from supervision and surveillance to education and training."
