FrontInvest Alternatives is the global forerunner in alternative asset management platforms.

With over €430 million of assets under management, Caixa Capital is the venture capital unit of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) in Portugal, investing directly in mid-cap and venture capital. CGD has been at the forefront of Portuguese economic and social development over the last 132 years.

In order to cope with its rapidly growing activity, Caixa Capital was looking for a solution to easily share information internally, remove multiple inputs, secure processes and facilitate reporting. The objective of Caixa Capital was also to adopt a single management tool for global monitoring and comprehensive reporting of its front-to-back operations.

Among CGD's principal development objectives is the promotion of its employees' use of new technologies, which improve the quality of service and reduce operating costs. Caixa's management committed to conduct a thorough selection process. The software solution was required to integrate a large range of business functionalities including CRM and document management, portfolio management, fund raising follow-up, loan management as well as accounting and reporting. FrontInvest proved to be the best solution to streamline investment operations while also offering additional benefits such as strong embedded Excel capabilities and detailed front-office reporting.

"eFront's Web-based solution will allow the organization to improve its direct transactions in private equity. It will enable us to internally share more information and also reduceduplicate work streams," said Iris Pinhão, Project Manager, Caixa Capital. "eFront was selected following an extensive vendor selection exercise; FrontInvest was the best solution to answer our specific needs such as multilingual capabilities and reporting."

"We are very pleased to have Caixa Capital as a client and its selection of FrontInvest is testimony to the benefits that eFront's software solutions deliver," said Jean-Philippe Gireaud, Area Sales Manager at eFront. "Caixa Capital is a very prestigious reference in Southern Europe. Caixa Capital team's professionalism, rigour and involvement during the selection process showed that FrontInvest was the most valuable solution."
