The new network is built with Vello Systems CX Family platforms providing a highly-reliable, ultra-low latency networking fabric for a suite of SLA-based services designed expressly for high-frequency trading applications. The new network takes advantage of Vello Systems' advanced optical modulation techniques allowing four 10G signals to be transported in a single ITU channel and providing a seamless upgrade to 40G and 100G transmissions.

Headquartered in Paramus, New Jersey, Hudson Fiber Network has quickly become an industry-leading Ethernet, data and IP services provider in the New York Metro area. Hudson Fiber Network has fully owned equipment in every financial hub in North America and provides the lowest latency, shortest fiber distance route solutions in the industry.

The new network establishes two ultra-low latency metro New York Fast Path fiber routes using Vello Systems CX Family 10G equipment. Combined with Hudson Fiber Network's XChange Connect Metro Ethernet solution, the new routes connect financial services customers to 1400 Federal Boulevard in Carteret, NJ. Since Hudson Fiber Network continues to provide buy-side and sell-side customers and pre- and post-trade service providers ultra-low latency routes to the top exchanges in North America, these new Fast Paths connect 300 Boulevard East in Weehawken, NJ, 755 Secaucus Road (and 275 Hartz Way) in Secaucus, NJ to 1400 Federal Boulevard in Carteret, NJ.

"Hudson Fiber Network is committed to delivering our customers the flexibility they need to reach the exchanges and markets as fast as possible," said Keith Muller, CEO of Hudson Fiber Network. "Vello Systems' products and technology are playing an important role in our infrastructure, ensuring the highest quality, highest performing experiences for our customers."

The new network infrastructure was deployed and put into production in less than 10 working days. Once deployed, Hudson Fiber Network was able to tune and optimize the network through VellOSTM, the CX Family's advanced real-time Linux operating system. With VellOS, features like Forward Error Correction (FEC) can be configured at various levels or disabled entirely via software to optimize network latency for metro applications.

"Hudson Fiber Network has built a state-of-the-art optical infrastructure and is at the forefront of defining next-generation Enterprise services," said Karl May, Vello Systems President and CEO. "We're very excited about the value our products and technology are bringing to Hudson Fiber Network's service capabilities and its customer base."
