VeriFone Holdings (NYSE: PAY), today announced it has formally changed its corporate name to VeriFone Systems. Henceforth all corporate information will be issued in the name of VeriFone Systems.
The name change does not otherwise affect the company's outstanding stock certificates, and the company's common shares will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol "PAY".
"VeriFone Systems more appropriately reflects the business identity we have established as the global leader in delivering electronic payment systems solutions to the marketplace," said VeriFone CEO Douglas G. Bergeron. "We continue to proudly serve our customers operating under the VeriFone banner."
The company's core business entity will continue to operate as VeriFone, Inc.
