SIX Group today completed the takeover of parts of First Data's processing business in Austria.
The new company, SIX Card Solutions Austria GmbH, will continue to be led by the existing management. The two CEOS are Herbert Maderbacher and Dr. Linus Bertsch, who joins from SIX Group.
Transferring to SIX Group are nearly 130 former First Data employees who are involved in the processing of card transactions for PayLife as well as with those services handled through First Data's Austrian data centre. The transfer will enable the secure and smooth migration of the PayLife portfolio to SIX Card Solutions' systems, while maintaining the accustomed high-quality service standards for all other customers impacted by the transaction. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the agreement.
