Under the agreement, Tieto is responsible for ensuring faultless production of Automatia's applications and services and takes care of the operating environment and capacity planning. The agreement also covers maintenance and support services, as well as electronic archival, for the development and testing environment.

The two companies have been working together to develop Automatia's information systems since 1995. Tieto has borne overall responsibility for the operating environment of the information systems and their functionality since 2006.

'On the basis of the successful long-term co-operation between Automatia and Tieto, renewing the agreement was a natural and easy solution. This guarantees for the future that Automatia obtains the best operation services available,' says Automatia's Managing Director Altti Kuorikoski.

Because of the large number of transactions, service maintenance requires absolute reliability and functionality of the information systems. At the beginning of May, the service production equipment was replaced with devices that respond to the capacity needs of up-to-date monitoring applications and data security solutions. The aim is to offer fully safe and efficient ATM services for end users.

'Renewing the agreement for another five years is important to us, as it further strengthens Tieto's position as a provider of business-critical, comprehensive services for the financial sector,' comments Sakari Lehtola, director of Tieto.
