Atos Origin, an international IT services company today announced that it has signed a contract with Travelex to design, build and support an IT system to securely manage the process for cashing all travellers' cheques as and when they are presented worldwide.
The new Travellers Cheque System will be available at all Travelex offices later this year. It is being built using .net technology and provides secure access over the internet from anywhere in the world. It will include increased auditing and monitoring functionality to more accurately track travellers' cheques and help protect against fraud. The system being built by Atos Origin is based on a prototype created jointly with Travelex.
