Christer Cragnell will lead the new initiative as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Swedbank. He will commence his new position on March 7th, 2009.

  • The new IT organisation comes as a natural step following Swedbank's strategy of finding synergies within the bank. Through integrating our IT-services we are creating better pre-requisites for developing the best solutions for our customers, says Jan Lidén, CEO of Swedbank.
  • Considering the fact that IT is a key issue in order for us to deliver cost effective and innovative solutions to our customers it is vital that we can take advantage of those synergies available to us within the group, says Michael Wolf, the upcoming CEO of Swedbank.

Until further notice the Swedish support division will also be included in the new IT service unit.
