Edgar, Dunn & Company names Adrian Cannon director, London office

Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC), a leading independent global financial services payments consultancy, announced today that Adrian Cannon has joined the firm as a Director in the London office.

Adrian has more than a decade of management consulting, strategic business analysis and new product development experience in the payments services and government sectors. He has served as lead strategist for major card issuers and acquirers, initiatives for advanced cardtechnologies, fraud detection systems and government payment and identity management programs.

Adrian's focus at EDC will be primarily in the UK, European and North American markets working at every level of the payments value chain including banks, issuers and acquirers, third party processors and merchants.

Prior to joining EDC, Adrian led strategic development and planning for Elavon Merchant Services one of Europe's largest merchant acquirers. During his tenure he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, performance measurement, and negotiation of major partnership contracts. Adrian has played a key role in many national programs including the move to EMV and the adoption of advanced card technology by national governments. His work, for a wide variety of banks, has allowed them to set and implement successful strategies for the development of new business ideas and the use of new technologies.

Adrian was the founder of Accourt Consulting where, for five years, he led a successful management consulting firm serving major financial services and payments clients throughout the UK and Europe. His career includes the development of OSI Group's Consumer Transaction Systems Consulting team where he worked internationally with major card issuers, payment schemes, and government departments.
