Rowan joins KPMG from Atos Origin where he was a Partner with their Financial Services advisory practice specialising in Technology and Security. Previously, Rowan worked at Xansa as a Director advising Banks and Insurance clients on the outsourcing and offshoring of their technology and Accenture, where he worked in their European Financial Services Market Making team.

"I am delighted to be joining KPMG and its rapidly expanding Forensic practice. Financial Services clients are facing many important issues where our skills can be of great value in reducing reputational risk and commercial loss," Rowan said. "By using specialist technology, industry knowledge and investigation techniques to analyse and interrogate data and present critical information in an evidentially sound manner, we can support clients as they seek to quickly prevent and resolve disputes, misconduct and inappropriate behaviour. Alternatively, by exploiting leading edge technologies and data analytics techniques we can support clients in their efforts to reduce fraud in areas such as mortgages, payments, claims and distribution, and use forensic technology techniques to sustain business performance."

As fraud has continued to be a major issue in both the private and public sectors in recent years, so the Forensic practice at KPMG has been one of the UK firm's fastest growing divisions. Forensic has been the fastest growing business in KPMG in the UK for the last 2 years running. The growing importance of forensic technology has been instrumental in this, with revenues doubling in the last 2 years.

Karen Briggs, Head of KPMG Forensic's Financial Services practice, said: "We are very excited that someone of Rowan's experience and industry knowledge has joined us. Forensic technology is one of the key pillars in the fight against fraud, and analytical technologies and processes are integral to that. Rowan will be an important addition to our successful Forensensic Financial Services team."
