A new version of the FIX Gateway developed for RTS by the software developer Devexperts, is being tested by RTS.
FIX Gateway is an exchange application of the FIX protocol and is used to exchange data between the RTS trading system and brokers or other trading participants. The new version enables them to manage their orders on FORTS, the RTS derivatives section, with regard to the specific features of the evening trading session on FORTS and on the anonymous section of the RTS Classic Market.
FIX (FInancial eXchange protocol) is a global messaging standard. Any modern trading system can be adjusted to exchange data via the FIX protocol within several hours. RTS implemented the first version of the FIX protocol this April.
The new version of the FIX Gateway is scheduled to start operating formally, subject to successful completion of the test phase, on August 18th, 2008.
