Vectorsgi adds Orbograph image system
VECTORsgi, a leading provider of financial transaction applications, and Orbograph, the leading supplier of check image recognition technology, today announced a strategic alliance. Under the new agreement, VECTORsgi will integrate Orbograph's advanced check recognition technologies into the VECTOR product suites that include image quality, exchange and data mining products.

The resulting integration in the VECTOR Image Exchange Solution and the VECTOR Capture Anywhere Solution will address the banking industry's need for a simplified enterprise wide check image quality and usability and data keying solutions. Now the hardware infrastructure for check image processing can be leveraged to accomplish other activities including amount encoding, fraud detection and prevention and data mining all of information contained in an image. Allowing banks to leverage a shared architecture ultimately results in saving money for hardware and processing costs.

The integration of Orbograph's technology supports VECTORsgi's role as an active proponent of universal standards for the quality of check images exchanged between financial institutions. Poor quality can have long ranging cost impacts on the depository and paying banks as well as customer satisfaction.
Products enhanced within the VECTOR Solutions include: VECTOR:IQA(TM) (Image Quality Analysis), a tool that ensures quality, integrity and usability of images being exchanged, and VECTOR:CheckMine(TM), a multi-faceted check image tool that gleans data to protect against fraud, ensure deposit integrity and enhance customer relationship management information. The products will leverage Orbograph's proven AutomatedIQA(TM) technology to enhance their ability to ensure image quality of items being exchanged and Orbograph's Data Mind Reader(TM) to provide field level information for downstream applications. In addition, VECTORsgi will integrate Orbograph's ScanIQA which addresses quality issues at the camera level. This approach gives banks the ability to resolve image quality issues in a proactive manner, avoiding many additional costs and supplementary processing.
VECTORsgi will also integrate Orbograph's Key-Pay Hub decisioning and field completion technology into both VECTOR:IQA and VECTOR:CheckMine. This combination enables banks to locate the resources to review suspect checks from any location.
