In the UK alone the average spend per person over the festive season this year is estimated to rise to £7061.
This year, to help you budget for the festive season and the sales in January, MasterCard has developed an online calculator for your priceless moments which allows you to break down your spending into categories such as gifts, food, travel and decorations.
All you have to do is enter in your planned purchases and watch the totaliser tot up your spending to ensure that this year you have a fantastic Christmas without the credit hangover in January.
