Vermeg today announced its acceptance to the IBM SOA Specialty after successfully completing IBM's rigorous SOA technical and business requirements.
With this achievement, Vermeg's Palmyra framework integrates with the IBM software and strategy for SOA.
"SOA is an increasingly important business requirement for organizations because of the business flexibility it enables," said Sandy Carter, Vice President of IBM SOA and WebSphere. "VERMEG's commitment to SOA provides their customers with a powerful way to reduce integration costs while rapidly deploying operational SOA applications."
"We are pleased that IBM has accepted VERMEG's PALMYRA framework into the IBM SOA Specialty," said Badreddine Ouali, founder and CEO of VERMEG. "PALMYRA was designed as a service oriented framework that was specifically tailored to the requirements of the financial community. All of Vermeg's products, including the MEGARA suite for securities processing, as well as OMEGA FA for fund administration, and OMEGA Treasurer for corporate treasurers, are built on the Palmyra platform. Its SOA nature means that all basic business components are in fact common to the various applications, and make integration of the various modules with legacy systems much simpler than using a number of different middleware applications. The benefits from our clients' point of view include faster, simpler and more scaleable implementations, vitally reducing the cost of ownership and simplifying the task of upgrading existing legacy systems".
