Oblix provided Northern Trust with a scalable identity management solution that reduced both the time to deploy new applications and the administrative costs associated with managing tens of thousands of user identities and fielding help desk calls. Today, Northern Trust employees use COREid to quickly gain secure, Web-based access to a variety of applications, including human resources applications such as benefits enrollment and administration.
"Northern Trust is dedicated to giving our employees the technology infrastructure they need to deliver world-class service to customers, so secure and efficient management of our internal systems and processes is a constant concern," said Rich Houle, senior vice president of worldwide technology, Northern Trust. "Oblix COREid has made deploying new applications faster, easier, and more secure, all the while reducing costs and ensuring a more seamless experience for tens of thousands of users."
"Enterprises today are turning to identity management to restore visibility and control to increasingly complex application environments with ever-larger numbers of users," said Ken Sims, vice president of marketing and business development, Oblix. "We are seeing great demand from companies whose homegrown identity management systems cannot offer the combination of cost savings, scalability, and functionality that Oblix can. Northern Trust joins a long list of financial services organizations that are leveraging COREid to bridge this gap."
