American Express and Citibank, a member of Citi, today announced an agreement under which Citibank is selling the American Express Gift Card in more than 980 Citibank retail Financial Centers nationwide.
The agreement with Citibank is American Express' first with a national bank.
First introduced in 2002, the American Express Gift Card is available online and nationwide at tens of thousand of locations, including supermarkets, drug stores, shopping centers, American Express Travel Service offices, and banks. American Express Gift Cards sold in Citibank Financial Centers will bear both the American Express and Citibank logos.

"We are committed to making Gift Cards available where our customers want to buy them, and Citibank, with its nationwide footprint and banking industry leadership, is a terrific addition to our growing roster of selling partners."
