Genesis will allow Illini State Bank to capture and process check images rather than the time consuming processing of paper items.

"Operating for over a century, we are known in our community for trusted and modern services," said Donna Laugal, vice president of information technology, Illini State Bank. "We recognize the importance of imaging technologies that streamline our branch operations and enable more efficient check processing. VSoft's Check 21 solution will improve our branch operations and allow us to provide faster service to our business and regular bank customers."

Illini State Bank has been running VSoft's Image Archive and Image Statements solutions since October, 2002. At the end of 2006, the bank decided to upgrade its current system with VSoft's Check 21 solution. The addition of this solution will allow the bank to capitalize on the opportunities created by the Check 21 legislation and extend the benefits of image exchange to their bank branches and customers.

VSoft's eDesk Genesis allows Illini State Bank to capture check images at their central processing site and exchange in compliance with Check 21 legislation with images directly, through exchange organizations, or print substitute checks if an endpoint cannot receive electronic cash letters. Illini State Bank branch locations will have the ability to search and display check images from the central archive system, eliminating time consuming paper handling and greatly reducing research time. Customer service will also improve as bank employees will have more time to focus on customer inquiries.

"By adding the Check 21 solution to the existing VSoft solutions, Illini State Bank's branches and customers will benefit from a complete imaging solution," said Murthy Veeraghanta, president, VSoft Corporation. "Illini State Bank will experience greater time and labor efficiencies, and its customers will benefit from improved customer service and increased security in exchanging chechheck items. The VSoft solutions will allow Illini State Bank to remain one of the nation's longest-operating institutions."
