Integrated Media Management (IMM), which specializes in output management and document automation technology, has announced that TLC Federal Credit Union (TLC FCU), located in Tillimook, Ore. has successfully implemented its branch capture Check 21 solution.
TLC FCU, which has $86 million in assets and more than 15,000 members, was the beta test site for this technology that captures check images at the branch and transports them electronically to their main location and then to the Federal Reserve, eliminating transportation costs, saving time and reducing the potential for lost checks.
IMM's Check 21 solution has been implemented in all five of TLC FCU's branches, which are reporting an 85 percent pass rate on the checks that are scanned, leaving only 15 percent that need to have the amounts entered manually. "It's a lot easier to find checks now and rescan them if necessary with everything sent electronically to a central location," said Eric Lessor, MIS director, TLC FCU. "We don't have to use couriers anymore. We process an average of 1,500 checks a day and only have about five rejects a week. We have had minimal issues with the technology and it's also much more secure."
"We are constantly striving to come up with innovative solutions that will better serve our customers needs," said John Levy, executive vice president, IMM. "This latest expansion of our technology gives our customers the ability to extend TotaleReceipts into the check imaging arena to better address the opportunities provided through Check 21 legislation. However, branch capture is only the first step. Both IMM and TLC FCU are aggressively moving toward teller capture. We plan to complete the beta test of our teller capture product in the fourth quarter of this year and have it available by the end of the first quarter of 2007." In addition to TotaleReceipts, TLC FCU is using IMM's TotaleAtlas, TotaleChecks and EZNotice products.
IMM has integrated technology from VSoft Corporation with its TotaleReceipts software allowing branch personnel to use small desktop scanners to capture the item data and image. As items are captured at the branch throughout the day, the item image and MICR data are sent electronically to a central processing location. This allows even distribution of staffing hours as the personnel in the central site process data and images all day long as data comes in from the branches.
"Integrated Media Management is the easiest vendor I've had to work with in the credit union industry," said Lessor. "They quickly respond to what I need to facilitate the document output and signature capture process in all areas of the credit union."
