María Santos has been appointed as Head REGIS-TR, SIX as of April 1st, replacing Thomas Steimann, who has decided to retire.
María Santos has been working at REGIS-TR since March 2024 as Managing Director and she was responsible for the client, regulatory, business development, and product departments. She has also led the REGIS-TR’s migration to the SIX Group.

María Santos has extensive experience in the capital markets industry. From 2019 to 2024, she worked at Iberclear, Spain's Central Securities Depository, part of BME. Before joining REGIS-TR, María held various management positions within the company. She is a highly experienced leader in financial markets, having spent most of her professional career at the Financial Information Services of the Madrid Stock Exchange.
