UK-based payments company myPOS is introducing Tap to Pay on iPhone for businesses in Switzerland, Hungary, Portugal, and Bulgaria.
Tap to Pay on iPhone is available within the myPOS Glass app and allows merchants to accept all forms of contactless payments directly on their iPhone, including contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, with no additional hardware.
“Customers are looking for speed, security, and convenience when paying, and prefer using contactless cards or digital wallets. Thanks to Tap to Pay on iPhone, businesses can respond to these needs by easily accepting secure contactless payments on the go. With myPOS, merchants have access to their funds immediately, at no additional cost”, said Zoltan Gyenge, Country Manager DACH.
myPOS merchants with compatible phones - iPhone XS or later - can start accepting contactless payments with their iPhones by downloading the myPOS Glass app and going through online verification. Payments are accepted easily and in just a few steps. Merchants open the app, ring up the sale and present their iPhone to the customer. In return, the shopper needs only to tap a contactless payment method like Apple Pay, or another digital wallet near the merchant’s iPhone, and then the payment will be seamlessly and securely completed using NFC technology.
A number of merchants are looking forward to the arrival of Tap to Pay on iPhone which will help them scaling their business, reaching more clients and accepting payments everywhere.
“With the arrival of Tap to Pay on iPhone, I will be able to save my clients and myself time and effort. Payments will be made with a single gesture in a matter of seconds. Tap to Pay on iPhone will offer even greater convenience to my customers, as well as allow me to accept payments on the go”, added Krisztina Kende-Hofherr, founder of TMC Group and the AJMAFT SME business community and support program.
Additionally, all transactions are encrypted and secure. Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the business and customer data private and secure. When a payment is processed, neither Apple nor myPOS store card numbers or transaction information on Apple servers.
To take advantage of this technology, business owners can try out the myPOS Glass Starter plan, which allows merchants to pay only as they get paid. It comes with no upfront commitment, no fixed costs and the ability to cancel at any time.
