Axyon AI, a leading tech provider of Predictive AI-powered solutions for the investment management sectors, has announced the appointment of Giovanni Beliossi as Head of Investment Strategies.
With over 25 years of experience in financial markets, Beliossi has held management, advisory, and executive roles in traditional and alternative investments, derivatives, and real assets. In this new role, he will leverage his extensive expertise to enhance Axyon AI’s client experience.
As Head of Investment Strategies, Beliossi will serve as a bridge between the team specialising in quantitative investments and external stakeholders, ensuring that market needs are effectively translated into increasingly innovative solutions and products. His collaboration with Axyon AI began in 2020 when he joined as a business adviser.

Beliossi is an Advisor at Astarte Capital Partners, where he previously served as Managing Director for Europe. He has also been Director and Senior Strategy Advisor at Auriel Capital, a management firm active in the ESG sector. Additionally, he founded FGS Capital, a boutique specialising in systematic and non-directional long/short portfolio strategies. He has also held the role of Associate Director of Hedge Funds at First Quadrant, a quantitative asset manager focused on institutional investments, where he was responsible for European long/short equities and non-U.S. multi-asset portfolios. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant for BARRA International and a researcher at the University of Bologna.
Beliossi is a board member of IAQF (the International Association for Quantitative Finance), a CFA Charterholder, and has studied at the University of Bologna, the University of Essex, and the London Business School.
