Tribe Payments, a leading digital payments and infrastructure orchestrator specialising in issuer and acquirer processing, has joined the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA).
This milestone that builds on Tribe’s October 2024 expansion into Asia-Pacific (APAC), marked by the opening of its Singapore office.
Joining the SFA strengthens Tribe’s growing presence within one of the world’s most dynamic fintech ecosystems and signals its commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the region.
The SFA, a cross-industry, non-profit organisation, connects nearly 900 organisations across more than 40 countries, serving as a hub for collaboration among fintech companies, regulators, and financial institutions. Through its membership, Tribe gains access to a wealth of opportunities, including forging valuable partnerships, participating in key industry advocacy efforts, and engaging with top innovators shaping the future of fintech in APAC.
Additionally, Tribe will benefit from the SFA’s networking events, insights into evolving regional regulations, and inclusion in the prestigious SFA FinTech Registry. Matt Weir, General Manager - Asia-Pacific at Tribe Payments, commented: “We’re excited to join the Singapore FinTech Association, a central force driving collaboration and innovation across the APAC fintech ecosystem. This membership provides an excellent platform for us to connect with industry leaders, share our expertise, and advocate for advancements that empower businesses and consumers. Singapore’s role as a global fintech hub makes it the ideal base to expand our network, support our clients, and demonstrate our capabilities in the region.
“We see this as an opportunity to not only expand our footprint but also share our expertise, advocate for industry best practices, and explore meaningful collaborations that drive innovation and financial inclusion across the region.”
Tribe plans to actively participate in SFA subcommittees and events, working alongside other industry leaders to address challenges, share insights, and drive meaningful innovation. These efforts align with the company’s mission to deliver cutting-edge payment solutions that enable businesses to scale, navigate regulatory complexities, and unlock growth opportunities through next-gen payments technology.
Reuben Lim, CEO at the Singapore Fintech Association, added: “We are delighted that Tribe Payments has chosen Singapore as its regional hub for its APAC expansion and even more so that they have joined the SFA member community. We look forward to working with Tribe to further strengthen Singapore’s position as a leading fintech hub in the region.
“The SFA serves as a catalyst for innovation and industry collaboration, and together with our members, we remain committed to engaging stakeholders to drive the growth and evolution of the payments landscape in APAC. We believe that Tribe’s innovation - with its modular issuer and acquirer processing solutions - will thrive in the region through Singapore.”
