This partnership marks a significant milestone as PayPal remains one of the preferred payment options for Mollie’s customers, offering seamless payment flows, improved shopping experiences and business growth for marketplaces.

Mollie is one of few financial service providers authorised to offer PayPal to marketplaces. This further enhances Mollie’s full payment solution offering, providing a wide range of payment options, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfers, and local payment methods.

With Mollie Connect, marketplaces can drive revenue growth and reduce operational costs simultaneously. Mollie’s managed support and onboarding streamline operations and reduce overhead without the need for extensive coding or complex setups, allowing platforms to focus on growth without the operational costs or technical burden.

Paul van der Boor, Group Product Manager for Partnerships at Mollie said: “By partnering with PayPal, we are advancing our mission to simplify payments for platforms. Marketplaces can now offer PayPal to their customers without requiring a separate integration and re-onboarding all of their sellers. Instead, they can outsource all technical complexity and operational workload to Mollie. This allows the marketplace to focus on its core strengths, while Mollie handles all payment-related tasks, empowering marketplaces and SaaS platforms with seamless payment integration and monetisation.”

Itai Gross, CEO of fonQ, a platform that successfully integrated Mollie Connect, added: “Mollie Connect is easier to integrate than other market solutions because they have streamlined the feature set to focus on what is essential for our business, keeping things simple and efficient.”

Additionally, Mollie supports all Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) options and is the only provider to accept gift cards at multi-seller checkout, enabling the monetisation of gift cards in a marketplace setup.

This strategic partnership with PayPal underscores Mollie’s commitment to delivering innovative and tailored payment solutions that drive the growth and success of marketplace businesses.
