Moss, which provides real-time visibility and control over company spending and reduces administrative burdens on finance teams, needed to enhance its Bill Pay product with more coverage and additional currencies. By integrating Airwallex’s financial infrastructure, Moss has launched ‘Pay with Moss’, a solution that includes initiating global bank transfers directly from Moss’s user interface, enabling end-to-end procure to pay and employee reimbursement workflows.

Airwallex’s solutions include accounts for holding funds, enabling card payments and facilitating domestic and global bank transfers. Moss customers can now top up their wallets, instruct Moss to transfer funds to suppliers and take advantage of Airwallex’s currency conversion feature to secure favourable foreign exchange rates. This enhanced functionality allows Moss to better service businesses across its nine European markets.

Stephan Haslebacher, COO of Moss, said: “Airwallex has been a game-changer for our customers and us, not least because of its extensive payments coverage, but also its sophisticated embedded finance set-up and customer-oriented flexibility. Airwallex’s platform allows us to offer our customers seamlessly integrated and streamlined payments for all business spend while bringing unparalleled flexibility and efficiency to our operations. This has been instrumental in enhancing our capability to manage a diverse range of payments and currency exchanges seamlessly across various markets.”

The partnership comes as Airwallex’s recent Spend Management Report found that the vast majority of UK finance leaders (95 percent) are struggling to manage their global spending due to disconnected management tools and manual processes, with 68 percent reporting using different tools and processes to manage spend across regions.

Due to the partnership, Moss has been able to significantly enhance its spend management capabilities and has enabled the company to provide a more robust and flexible solution to its clients, covering global accounts, attractive foreign exchange (FX) rates and local payouts globally.

Ryan O’Holleran, Head of Sales, Enterprise, EMEA at Airwallex, said: “Managing payments across several regions is increasingly complex and a challenge that many businesses face. At Airwallex, we have always aimed to simplify money movement by providing flexibility and efficiency for our customers. Partnering with Moss is another step in our journey to transforming the way businesses operate internationally, and we are very excited to see how this will continue to enhance Moss’s operations globally.”

Founded in Berlin, Moss aims to optimise spend management for small and medium-sized businesses that has since issued more than 350,000 cards. The company is now better set up to scale even further internationally.
